We gave the clip a level 4 for sound as the soundtrack matched the video and the voice of the narrator worked well with the scene. The sound was simple but worked very well with the clip and matched the story line.
Camera - Level 4
The handheld camera use shows the chaos of the character and that there is a sense of enigma code being created. There is a varied use of camera angles used well within the scene.
Edit - Level 3
The story had continuity and showed a narrative but did not use enough titles. Although the titles were integrated well within the scene.
Mes En Scene - Level 3
Costume worked well with all the characters. The map and the blood looked realistic and the lighting was good.
This is our first update on the progress we have made on our Sacrificial Lamb film. We have done this to show that we understand what we need to do and what we need to improve before our deadline.
In Thriller films, the common sound used is a sound which creates mystery, suspense and climax. Adding to this, layers of sound can also be added in order to make a textured sound mix. Sound is one of the most important factors for opening sequences and also events in Thriller films in general; this is because it enhances enigma codes and increases the climax of the storyline.

This is the first video we found to play in the background of our Thriller film 'The Sacrificial Lamb'. This video is also copyright free which is a huge benefit for us. This is the fourth video we have found to play in the background of our Thriller film 'The Sacrificial Lamb'. This will be played near the beginning when Jasmine (our female actress) opens and closes the front door of her apartment.
Suspense Sound Effect
This is the fifth video we have found to use in our Thriller film 'The Sacrificial Lamb'. This will be used for the scene just before Jasmine starts off her dialogue with Shivam. This is the best suspense music we have found as it enhances the climax extremely well and fits with the onscreen performance taking place.
The screenshot of notes above states the sound clips from the website http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free which fit our Thriller film extremely well. They are a range of sound clips which fit under the genre of: dark, eerie, intense, mysterious, unnerving and suspenseful. These sound clips cannot be linked to the blog as they all appear on one page on the incompetech website link.
The incompetech website was a really good resource for us to use as it enabled us to choose a genre and to be more specific with the choice of our sound. Once we chose a genre(s), the results then narrowed down to sound clips which relate to the selected genre. We have decided that we are going to use sounds available and copyright free from youtube and incompetech due to the high quality and also the accuracy of the sound clips matched with our actor's actions to enhance it onscreen as well as music in the background layered.
